My name is Vladimir Tukmakov. IGM since 1972. My best results as a player are three times second place in USSR championships (1970,1972, 1983), Olympic gold medal as a member of USSR team (1984). Winner of many national and international tournaments.

FIDE senior trainer since 2004.  I was working with many famous players as a team captain and personal trainer. Two times winner of World Olympiads with the team of Ukraine (2004, 2010). I've worked also with  the national teams of Azerbaijan, Netherlands, Belarus. As a club captain won Europeab Club Cup in 2012 and 2014. As a personal trainer was working with Karpov, Kortchnoj, Geller, Tseschkovsky, Giri, So and many other strong grandmasters.

The author of books: Profession: Chessplayer, Modern Chess Preparation, Risk and Bluff in Chess,  Coaching the Chess Stars, Modern Chess Formula and Candidates Tournament 2020.
