As a 3-time national chess champion, Sam has proven to be one of Canada's top chess players. He has also received the official title of National Master in both the United States and Canada at the mere age of 16. In addition, Sam has also represented his country at numerous international chess events, including the U-18 WYCC 2015, U-16 Olympiad 2016, and U-20 NAYCC 2016.
Sam's expertise extends beyond the realm of competition, as he has actively taught chess to students of all levels for over 13 years. Having founded the esteemed Sam Chess Club, Sam demonstrates his dedication to sharing his love and knowledge of the game with others. His remarkable coaching abilities have led to an outstanding track record, having taught over 100 youths across Canada with an impressive 80% winning district championships, 40% winning provincials, and qualifying for nationals.
